A limited warranty is the warranty provided by the manufacturer. It's called "limited" because it's typically limited to a specific length of time and to specific items that it covers. EGS products are backed by some of the best Manufacturer's Limited Warranties in the industry. Our products leave the factory with a 1-year limited warranty. Your EGS Authorized dealers provide service and installation in support of this warranty.

Limited Warranty General Provisions
NOTE: The Warranty Registration Form must be signed by the purchaser and mailed or faxed to EGS within 30 days of purchase in order to activate this Limited Warranty.

EGS Controls. guarantees the original purchaser of EGS Controls products a twelve month warranty from the date of original purchase against manufacturer defects in materials, workmanship and finish under normal use excluding damage resulting from acts of God, freezing, flood, fire, wind, lightning, product misuse, improper installation, impairments from accidents, product modifications or product neglect. This twelve month warranty applies only to new products and is limited to the repair or replacement of EGS products. Warranty does not include electrical components, costs of removal, installation, labor, freight, inconvenience or consequential damages. Original purchaser must return defective merchandise, to the original place of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from accident, misuse, neglect, improper installation, fire, vandalism or any form of abuse.

The Limited Warranty described below is provided by EGS Controls ("EGS") to the original purchasers or an authorized EGS dealer. Under this Limited Warranty, EGS will, through its authorized dealers, repair or replace, at its option, any EGS-manufactured part which is found to be defective in material or workmanship during the applicable warranty period. Warranty service must be performed by a dealer or service partner authorized by EGS to service the product involved, which will use only new or remanufactured parts or components furnished by EGS.

Purchaser Responsibility
It is the purchaserís responsibility to maintain the product in accordance with the instructions provided in the Ownerís Manual.
If a defect in materials or workmanship occurs, it is purchaserís responsibility to cease operating the product until repairs may be made. Damage which occurs from continued operation after purchaser has noted a potential defect in or problem with the equipment is not covered by this Limited Warranty. Purchaser should contact its authorized EGS dealer immediately so that repairs can be made in a timely manner.
In addition, to be eligible for warranty coverage, purchaserís responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that the product is treated and maintained in accordance with the instructions and specifications. 
     

  • Paying for freight costs incurred in returning a defective product or component part(s) to the point of original purchase.
     

  • Submitting to EGS a Warranty Registration Form and a copy of the original bill of sale upon receipt of the product.

What This Limited Warranty Does Not Cover
EGS Controls does not warrant:

  • Any product, part or component purchased from an unauthorized dealer or any online seller other than EGS authorized dealers
     

  • A product installed, repaired or otherwise modified by persons other than a EGS-authorized or certified installer or technician.
     

  • Any and all labor, lodging and transportation charges incurred by any person in connection with the examination or replacement of parts claimed by the purchaser to be defective.
     

  • Any damages, malfunctions or failures resulting from: Improper installation of or failure to maintain and operate the product in accordance with the printed instructions that accompany the product or failure to install the product in accordance with applicable building codes and ordinances.
     

  •  Improper maintenance, damage, misuse, abuse, accident, negligence, freezing, flood, fire, wind, lightning or Acts of God.

For all warranty claims the product must be returned to the place of purchase with a valid receipt. If you purchased your EGS product at an EGS Installing Dealer the product must be returned to the point of purchase. If you purchased your EGS product online the product must be returned to the online reseller.
